RR vs RCB: The Eliminator of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 got underway with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) starting with a cautious approach in the initial overs of the Powerplay. But the batting genius Virat Kohli propelled the innings with even a useful hand from the skipper Faf Du Plessis which took RCB to a decent total of 50/1 in 6 overs.

RR vs RCB: Trent Boult bowls economical spell

The Swing Master Trent Boult played a huge role in restricting the dangerous duo of RCB opening batsmen. The left arm quickly extracted swing right from his first delivery and bowled tight lines, sticking to his field placements. He conceded just 6 runs in his 3 overs of the powerplay, where the remaining bowlers were taken to the cleaners.

Boult stuck to his line and length which rewarded him with the wicket of RCB’s skipper Du Plessis in his 3rd over, thanks to a beautiful diving catch by Rovman Powell at deep mid-wicket.

Cameron Green joined Kohli in the middle and took the team’s total to 50 runs in the powerplay. The spin was introduced from both ends after the PP, and Yuzvendra Chahal removed the dangerous Virat Kohli in his very first over for 33 runs.
