RR vs RCB: Royals beats their losing streak

RR, who were low on confidence after losing successive games, held their nerve in the tense chase. The chase was set up well by the openers, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tom Kohler-Cadamore, thanks to a few drop catches as well by the fielders, to help the cause of RR openers.

Jaiswal was dismissed after playing a useful hand of 45 off 30 balls. The south paw’s wicket shifted the momentum in favour of RCB, who succeded in picking a few crucial wickets of Captain Sanju Samson and a brilliant runout by Virat Kohli to bring the curtains for Dhruv Jurel.

RCB pulled back things magnificently with Cameron Green bowling an economical spell in his first 3 overs. But the “Cool Kid” Riayn Parag and Shimron Hetmyer led the strike against Green in his final to squeeze a 19-run over, which changed the dimension of the game.

Siraj produced a double-wicket over in the 18th, but it was too late as the required rate got well in reach for the Royals to finish the game in the penultimate over. This is the second loss for RCB against RR in the IPL Playoffs.
