India’s young wrestling sensation, Ronak Dahiya, made history by securing a bronze medal in the Greco-Roman 110 kg category at the U-17 World Wrestling Championships held in Amman, Jordan. His remarkable performance marked a significant milestone for Indian wrestling.

Ronak’s impressive display on the mat earned him a well-deserved bronze medal. He faced tough competition but emerged victorious, showcasing his skill, determination, and resilience.

In the crucial bronze medal match, Ronak squared off against Turkiye’s Emrullah Capkan. With a dominant performance, Ronak secured a 6-1 victory, clinching the medal for India.

Ronak currently holds the title of world number two in his weight category. His consistent form and hard work paid off as he added another accolade to his growing list of achievements.

Ronak hails from Delhi and trains at the renowned Chhatrasal Stadium. His rigorous training regimen, under experienced coaches, prepared him for the international stage.

Ronak’s journey to the bronze medal involved several intense bouts. He began with an 8-1 win over Artur Manvelian and followed it up with a commanding technical superiority victory against Daniil Maslakou.

Another Indian wrestler, Pardhi Sainath, is also in contention for a bronze medal. Competing in the 51 kg repechage round, Sainath aims to secure a podium finish. His next challenge is against Munaretto Domenic Michael of the United States.
