Roman Reigns’ leukemia treatment begins

Former WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has begun his treatment process to cure leukemia. The Big Dog revealed last month on RAW that for 11 years he had been battling cancer but it, unfortunately, returned once again in his life.

The announcement left not only the WWE Universe stunned but also the RAW locker room as they were unaware of Reigns’ condition until he dropped the news about his ongoing health issues in his promo.

Similarly, Roman was forced to relinquish his Universal title and take an indefinite absence from WWE. With the treatment period presumably very long and stressful, ‘The Guy’ is likely to remain sidelined for Wrestlemania 35 and beyond.

Following Reigns’ departure, The Shield also collapsed as Dean Ambrose turned heel on the same night and attacked Seth Rollins after they clinched the RAW Tag Team Championships against Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre.

Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar’s second Universal title reign could extend until Wrestlemania 35 after he signed a new deal with WWE that will allow him to make his UFC comeback when he wants but he will be expected to defend his championship prior to the events leading up for the showdown PPV in New York next year.
