Rohit Sharma opens up on Virat Kohli’s Bad Run of Form- “probably saving it for the final”

India secured a dominant 68-run victory over England at the T20 World Cup semi-final clash, booking their spot in the final. However, one lingering concern remains Virat Kohli’s form at the top of the order. The Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma, dismissed any worries about Virat Kohli not scoring runs at all, expressing confidence in the star batsman.

“I mean look Virat is a quality player. Any player can go through this but we know his class. His form is not a problem. His intent is there and he is probably saving it for the final,” Rohit said during the post-match presentation

“Very satisfying to win the game. We have worked really hard as an unit and to win that game was special. We adapted to the conditions very well and that has been our success story. We have played the conditions very well. Very pleasing to see how we came though the game,” Rohit added about the match.

 

Rohit Sharma Supports Virat Kohli During His Bad Patch

Despite Kohli’s struggles in the tournament, Rohit emphasized that form isn’t a problem for a seasoned player like him. Kohli’s intent remains intact, and the skipper believes he will rise to the occasion when it matters most. The Men in Blue have adapted well to the challenging conditions, and their composed approach has been key to their success.

As India prepares to face South Africa in the T20 World Cup final, all eyes will be on Kohli. With the team in good shape, Rohit Sharma hopes for another stellar performance in the ultimate showdown. The final is set to take place at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday, June 29.
