Placed at 10th position, Rohit Sharma saw his test career come back to life after knocks of 176, 127 and 212 as an opener for the first time in tests.

While Rohit Sharma has been unstoppable in the shorter formats, this is the first time he’s showcasing such talents in the longer version of the game.

This has now made him only the second batsman after Virat Kohli to feature in the top-10 of all 3 formats.

Rohit’s exploits in the first test at Vizag saw him jump a number of places in the table and reach a career-best 17th spot in the rankings. While failure in Pune saw him slip to 22nd position, a superb double century at Ranchi earned him an entry into the top 10 for the first time.

Meanwhile, Kohli continues to remain in second spot, 11 points behind Smith despite scoring a double century at Pune.

Ajinkya Rahane on the other hand moved up to 5th spot after his hundred in the third and final test.
