Kapil Dev showers praise on Rohit Sharma
Kapil praised Rohit’s ability to keep the entire team happy, emphasizing that he doesn’t exhibit the same exuberance as Virat Kohli. While Kohli often jumps around with passion, Rohit remains composed and focused within his limitations.
“He (Rohit) doesn’t play like Virat, doesn’t jump around like him. But he knows his limitations, and within those limitations, there is no better player than him,” said Kapil at an ‘ABP Live’ event.
Kapil Dev also mentioned Rohit’s impact and how the 37-year-old has never put his self-interest over that of the team.
Many big players come, they care about their own careers and even do captaincy from that point of view. That’s why Rohit has an extra tick (mark) because he keeps the entire team happy,” Kapil said.
“It seems like Rohit knows his game very well. He plays within himself. He is not like Virat Kohli and doesn't jump around. Rohit is aware of his limitations and there is no one better than him in that respect.”
