Despite saying that 2023 will be difficult, Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant stated that he has learned a lot so far. Indian cricket player Rishabh Pant was involved in a potentially fatal car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun route in December 2022.
The impact was so severe that he sustained many injuries, including abrasions on his back, wounds on his forehead, a ruptured ligament in his right knee, and damage to his right wrist, ankle, and toe. Luckily, there was no damage to his brain or spinal cord.
Pant’s accident had significant repercussions for his cricketing career, ruling him out of major tournaments such as the IPL 2023, where he was the captain of the Delhi Capitals, the Asia Cup, and the World Cup scheduled for the same year.
Pant’s started his recovery process at Max Hospital in Dehradun before he was transferred to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital for further treatment. His rehabilitation continued at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Pant’s recuperation progressed faster than anticipated.
Recently, replying to a post on X, Pant said that 2023 has been tough for him but it has been filled with lessons.
Tough & lot’s of learning 👌
