During India’s second T20I match against South Africa, India batsman Rinku Singh struck a huge six to break the glass in the media box. Rinku also scored his first T20I half-century while playing at Gqeberha. Rinku’s two spectacular sixes off South Africa’s skipper Aiden Markram, one of which broke the glass in the press box, were the highlight of his innings.
In the penultimate over of the first innings, Rinku went after the off spinner and hit him for two consecutive sixes in the last two balls. In the game, Markram performed remarkably and had already taken Jitesh Sharma’s wicket. Rinku blasted the last ball of the over clean over the bowler’s head for his second six of the over. Rinku Singh’s lighting fast innings made Live cricket scores on the board changing extremely fast.
The left-hander was compelled to come in early in the after India lost their first three wickets in the powerplay of the match. The hard-hitter patiently built his innings and went on the offense after adapting to the pace and bounce of the pitch. After captain Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed, Rinku Singh took off and kept the scoreboard moving.
Before today, Rinku’s top score was against Australia in the fourth T20I of the recently concluded series where he got out for 46 runs in Raipur. Rinku’s innings was interrupted by rain in the final over of the innings.
The batter was at the non-striker’s end in the first three balls as India lost back to back wickets in the second and third ball of the over. Rinku scored 68 runs before being dismissed.
