RECAP: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 Day 2; Spain, Norway have impressive victories


FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 had commenced with a match between the hosts France and South Korea. Since then the World Cup has picked up pace and yesterday on the second day of the World Cup two matches were played.

The first match was played out between Spain and South Africa, while the second one was played out between the ladies of Norway and Nigeria.

Both Spain and Norway had comparatively huge victories and while Spain won 3-1, Norway won by a 3-0 scoreline. However, it should be noted that in the first game between Spain and Southern Africa, the latter’s Vilakazi received a red card in the 82nd minute.

Spain’s goalscorers were Hermoso, Lucia Garcia, While South Africa’s goal was scored by Thumb Kgatlana. On the other hand, Norway’s galscorers were Reiten, Utland, Ohale.
