Real Madrid’s manager Julen Lopetegui has failed to impress the club management of Real Madrid with the performance of the Los Blancos at the beginning of the season. Real Madrid are now at the fourth position in the League Table of La Liga after the shocking defeat against Alaves just before the International Break.
According to ‘Corriere dello Sport’ the club management of Real Madrid have made an early contact with former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte to take the job of the managerial post of the Los Blancos. The reports in Italy are suggesting that Julen Lopetegui has only three matches left to as the manager of Real Madrid. Any bad result in the next three matches against Levante, Viktoria Plzen and Barcelona will increase the chances of Julen Lopetegui to be sacked from the managerial position of the Los Blancos.
Julen Lopetegui was announced as the manager of Real Madrid just two days prior to Spain’s first match in the World Cup. Lopetegui was sacked by Spanish football association as the it could hampered the atmosphere in the dressing room of the Spanish National side. On the other hand, Antonio Conte has helped Chelsea to win one Premier League and one FA Cup in the previous two seasons. But the 49 year old Italian manager was sacked as the Blues were not able to finish in the top four in the Premier League in the previous season.
According to the reports, the players at Real Madrid are unhappy with the playing style of their current manager Julen Lopetegui. Antonio Conte’s counter attacking approach might suit them at this point of time.
