Eden Hazard’s magical performance against West Ham saw him steal all 3 points for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge but pundits believe there was much more to the sizzling performance of the Belgian than that meets the eye.
ESPN pundit Ian Darke believes that Real Madrid scouts present in the attendance were a major inducing factor. With halted contract talks and two-way courtship between Real Madrid manager Zidane and Hazard, the scales are tipped in favour of Real Madrid announcing the signing of Hazard in the coming transfer window.
“There’s an argument for saying that, for sure,” Darke said when asked if Hazard was the best player in the league.
“There aren’t many better.
“He’s a tiger you can’t contain when he’s in form like tonight, sizzling even by his sky-high standards.
“I think he would have been aware that the Real Madrid scouts were watching him in the stands, so there might be some sort of agenda there.
“If he is leaving Chelsea, I think he wants to leave them in a position where they’re playing Champions League football next season.”
