Real eye Hazard or Eriksen, plan to use Bale in a bargain – Papers

Premier League stars Eden Hazard and Christian Eriksen have long been on the radar of La Liga giants Real Madrid, and while these might cost quite a fortune or two, underperforming forward Gareth Bale could be used as a bargaining chip in the deal for either of the pair.

Real Madrid have evidently failed to fill the gaping hole Cristiano Ronaldo left in their squad since departing for Juventus earlier in the summer last year, and former Tottenham Hotspur ace Gareth Bale has not yet stepped up for his job in the Spanish capital this season.

Bale, 29, who joined the La Liga side in September 2013 for a then club record fee of €100.8 million, was said to have been stunted at the Bernabeu as long as Ronaldo was there. Many inside the club hoped that the Welshman would finally get the limelight after the Portuguese international left, but that hasn’t been the case.

Interim manager Santiago Solari prefers to choose 18-year old youngster Vinicius Junior over the 29-year old, and the winger continues to fall out of favor in Spain.

As per reports, the Los Blancos are hoping to use the former Premier League star in a deal that could see Chelsea star Eden Hazard or Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen go the other way, despite Bale’s contract running until 2022.
