Indian wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya had raised the hopes of his Nation to achieve a Gold Medal in the final of 57kg freestyle event in the ongoing Olympic Games in Tokyo. He could not win the bout against Russia’s Zavur Uguev losing out on a Gold Medal but he will not be returning home empty-handed as he captured the Silver Medal.
Ravi Kumar Dahiya wins Silver Medal
Ravi was defeated by the Russian wrestler in a 4-7 contest. The Indian wrestler became the second Indian wrestler, after Sushil Kumar, to win the silver medal at the Olympic Games and a fifth wrestler to bag an Olympic medal.

The Russian, who is a two-time World Championships gold medallist, was a tough competition for the Indian, who showed great will and despite his best efforts, he could not defeat the Russian at any given point in time.
