Team India have reached Sydney for their upcoming series against Australia and started their training sessions as well. The Indian team will face Australia in three ODIs, as many T20Is and four Tests while the first ODI is all set to be played in Sydney on November 27th.

While a few players have sustained injuries during the recently-concluded 2020 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), many eyebrows raised when Kohli’s decision of taking paternity leave after the first Test got accepted by the BCCI as many think India would become a weaker side in his absence.

Meanwhile, on Monday BCCI shared a video of the training sessions of the players where the veteran India off-spinner R Ashwin can be seen using a tennis racquet to send throwdowns to wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul at the nets.

On Sunday, R Ashwin had also shared a video on his Instagram account, where he was seen bowling to India’s Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane at the nets. While Rahane can be seen defending the delivery but he was also deceived by the speed on the ball as well. He got the bottom edge on the delivery, and the ball went backwards instead of going ahead.

“Right arm over !! Kangaroo land! #backatitagain,” Ashwin shared the post with the caption.

Meanwhile, a few days ago the BCCI tweeted photographs of the Indian team before their departure where the players can be seen in customised PPE kits for travel amid the crunch time of COVID-19 pandemic.

“#TeamIndia is BACK! Let’s embrace the new normal,” the official Twitter handle of the BCCI posted the photo with this caption. However, most of the players of the Indian team were a part of the cash-rich T20 league and after the end of their respective team’s campaign in the tournament, they moved to the bio-bubble made for the national team in the UAE.

Notably, Team India have been going through a 14-day quarantine in Sydney during which they are allowed to train for the upcoming series starting November 27.
