Quarantine quests: Cricketers engage themselves with ICC’s isolation game

Much like the majority of the athletes worldwide, cricketers too have taken a step back due to the coronavirus outbreak. The cricketers managed to participate in ICC’s isolation game which was launched by the governing body on social media. 

The rules are simple, your quarantine partner would be cricketer assigned to your birth month. While the highest score would be the number of hours you spend with them. Finally, the activity performed would be the one assigned to the last digit of the person’s phone number.


The players listed in the months were- Ricky Ponting (January), Virat Kohli (February), Misbah-ul-Haq (March), Andre Russell (April), Brendan Taylor (May), Kumar Sangakkara (June), Tamim Iqbal (July), Ben Stokes (August), Paul Stirling (September), Kane Williamson (October), Rashid Khan (November) and Faf du Plessis (December).

Former South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs played the game and shared his results amongst the followers. According to the guidelines, Gibbs got Virat Kohli as his partner.


Gibbs tweeted that he and Kohli would be gymming during the quarantine period. His tweet read:

In quarantine, me and @imVkohli going toe to toe in the gym

Meanwhile, newly reappointed Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner shared his results with his followers as well. Warner was slotted alongside Kane Williamson and the duo’s activity was found out to be making Tik Tok videos together. Check out Warner’s tweet right below:
