Punjab FC, a prominent club in the Indian Super League (ISL), has made an exciting addition to their squad. They recently announced the signing of Argentine midfielder Norberto Ezequiel Vidal for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Vidal, a seasoned player with considerable experience, is set to enhance Punjab FC’s midfield prowess.

Born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, Vidal primarily plays as an attacking midfielder or winger. Vidal began his professional career in 2011 with Club Olimpo in his hometown. During his eight-year stint, he made 45 appearances and scored three goals. He gained valuable experience during loan spells with Atletico Independiente (Argentina), Delfin SC (Ecuador), and Atletico Juventud (Uruguay).
In 2019, he signed for San Martin SJ in the Argentine Primera B. The following year, he represented Atletico Alvarado, scoring five times in 37 appearances. Vidal joined Independiente Rivadavia briefly before embarking on an Indonesian adventure. He played two seasons for Persita Tangerang, netting 17 goals in 60 appearances.
Vidal’s versatility allows him to excel both outwide and centrally. His tenacity and creativity make him a valuable asset.

Wide Role: Pairing him with the lethal Luka Majcen upfront and Nihal Sudeesh on the other flank.
