PKL Matches Today (15 Dec 2023): U Mumba will take on Patna Pirates and Puneri Paltan clashes with Haryana Steelers.
PKL season 10 is off to a flying start and the action now shifts to Pune at the end of week 2 after producing blockbuster clashes at Ahmedabad and Bengaluru. Badminton Hall in Balewadi Sports complex will host a total of 11 games across 6 days in what promises to be a high octane action.
PKL Matches Today: U Mumba vs Patna Pirates
The Friday night will see two former champions U Mumba and Patna Pirates in the first game. U Mumba started their campaign with a win against UP Yodha in a close encounter. However, they lost their way in the next two games against Gujarat Giants and Puneri Paltan. They are now hovering at the bottom of the table just above Titans and would be hoping for a strong comeback against the three time champions.
On the other hand, the most successful team of the competition Patna Pirates are positioned better in the points table at 6th. They also started their tournament with a thumping win against Titans and came out on against Giants in a close game. They were defeated in the last game against Bengal Warriors by a huge difference(60-42) and would like to get back to winning ways by thrashing the former champions.
Patna Pirates will be favorites entering the court as their raiders are in an exceptional form and if they get the support from their defensive unit, they will surely make this a one sided affair.

Match 24: Puneri Paltan vs Haryana Steelers
Puneri Paltan are off to a great start in the tournament winning both their games quite comfortably against Panthers and U Mumba. Paltan were missed out on the trophy last year, and are looking more determined this season.
Haryana Steelers on the other hand, faced a stunning defeat against Yoddhas(57-27) but recovered in the last two games against Bengaluru Bulls and Dabang Delhi. They would be hoping to continue this winning momentum on a path to clinch their maiden trophy.
Paltan’s Mohit Goyat and Aslam Inamdar will be crucial heading into this high intensity game against a strong defensive unit of Steelers. Steelers would also expect a similar performance from their star raiders Desai and Vinay.
