The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is set to return for its 11th season on October 18, 2024, with an exciting new format that promises to bring the sport closer to fans across India. This season, the league will adopt a three-city caravan format, a departure from the traditional 12-city format used in previous seasons.
Pro Kabaddi: A New Format for a New Season
The three-city caravan format will see the league hosted in three major cities: Hyderabad, Noida, and Pune. The season will kick off at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on October 18. The action will then move to the Noida Indoor Stadium from November 10, before concluding at the Balewadi Badminton Stadium in Pune starting December 3.

This season will feature 12 teams: Bengal Warriors, Bengaluru Bulls, Dabang Delhi K.C., Gujarat Giants, Haryana Steelers, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Puneri Paltan, Tamil Thalaivas, Telugu Titans, U Mumba, and U.P. Yoddhas. Each team will play the others twice in a double round-robin format, ensuring a total of 137 matches over three months.
Playoff Structure
The top six teams at the end of the league stage will qualify for the playoffs. The top two teams will advance directly to the semi-finals, while the remaining four teams will compete in eliminator matches. The third-placed team will face the sixth-placed team, and the fourth-placed team will take on the fifth-placed team for a spot in the semi-finals.
Excitement and Anticipation
The return to the three-city caravan format has generated significant excitement among fans and players alike. Pro Kabaddi League Commissioner Anupam Goswami expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “After successfully completing 10 seasons, PKL Season 11 will mark a new milestone in the continued rise of the league.
