The duo shares a strong camaraderie and are known for posting hilarious videos on Instagram. On Sky’s birthday, opening batsman Prithvi Shaw shared a hilarious photograph of the birthday boy.
“Happy birthday, Suryakumar Yadav,” Prithvi captioned the post on the Facebook-owned platform.
Suryakumar Yadav: taking the world by storm
Suryakumar Yadav is only six-innings old in international cricket. You wouldn’t know that, looking at him bat in any of those games. He’s nerve-less, decisive, and crisp in his stroke-play, calm and confident in his batting.
For years, fans and experts were questioning selectors for excluding Suryakumar Yadav from the team. However, SKY finally got his chance in 2021 and he grabbed it with both hands. In his first international knock, he scored a breathtaking fifty which included a first-ball six.
In his return to the squad and in his maiden ODI series, he won the player of the series award for his consistent performances. SKY hasn’t failed in any of his six international innings. He has got starts in all the games and scored at a strike rate of more than 100.
Suryakumar Yadav will be one of the key players for India in the upcoming World T20 in UAE. Many experts are predicting that SKY may even win the player of the tournament award.
