Indian hockey star PR Sreejesh recently shared a poignant moment on social media, capturing the essence of his remarkable career. As he prepares for his fourth and final Olympics in Paris 2024, Sreejesh holds both his first-ever Indian jersey and the one he will wear during the upcoming games.

PR Sreejesh’s impactful career

Sreejesh’s post encapsulates a remarkable span of 24 years. From a young kid donning the jersey in 2000 to a seasoned veteran, he has dedicated his life to representing India on the hockey field.

Sreejesh played a pivotal role in India’s historic Bronze medal win at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. His brilliant penalty save in the dying moments against Germany etched his name in Indian hockey lore.

Already boasting a total of 328 International caps, three Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and World Cups, Sreejesh’s career is one of the most iconic ones in the world of hockey. Sreejesh’s long list of achievements includes a gold medal in the 2014 Asian Games, a Bronze medal in Jakarta-Palembang, joint-winners of the Asian Champions Trophy in 2018, a gold medal in the 2019 FIH Men’s Series Finals in Bhubaneswar and a Silver medal at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
