It’s Day 19 in PKL season 10 and it’s going to be a blockbuster Wednesday as defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers will take on the mighty UP Yoddhas and the home team Puneri Paltan go up against Bengaluru Bulls later in the night at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune.
PKL Season 10: Match 32 Jaipur Pink Panther vs UP Yoddhas
The first match on Day 19 in PKL Season 10 is between the defending Champions Jaipur Pink Panthers and UP Yoddhas.
Both Panthers and Yoddhas had a below par season so far. Panthers had produced some serious all-round performance but ended up winning just two games out of 5. They came really close in all the games and won/lost the games with minute difference. They produced an inspiring comeback in the last game thanks to V Ajith Kumar, who brought them into the game and eventually won it after being down 16-8 in the first half. Panthers are currently positioned at 7th just below Yoddhas.
UP Yoddhas had a similar season like Panthers’. They won 2. lost 2 and drawn 1. Yoddhas also had few close encounters where they failed to suppress the opposition in the final moments of the match. They also produced a crunch finish in their last game against Warriors, and eventually drawn the game. They are positioned at 6th in points table.
What to expect
For Panthers, the onus again lies on Arujn Deshwal and V Ajith Kumar to continue their form in raiding. But at the same time, they also need to perform together to get Panthers to top of the table. The defensive unit also need to raise to the occasion especially with senior player Sunil Kumar taking charge against the opposition raid.
On the other hand, the star studded UP Yoddhas haven’t been consistent so far in the tournament. Though Surender Gill is performing well, Pardeep Narwal need to step with steady performances. The defense unit failed miserably in crunch games against U Mumba and Bulls. A top notch performance is needed to get past the Pink Army.
PKL Season 10: Match 33 Puneri Paltan vs Bengaluru Bulls
The home team Puneri Paltan is thrashing every opponent on their path to get the ultimate glory. Apart from a minor setback against Steelers, the runner ups from last year are looking very determinant and solid as each game goes by. They thrashed Dabang Delhi in their previous game will look to cement their positions at the top of the table.
Bengaluru Bulls had a disappointing start to their campaign having lost 4 out of 4 games. But they came back in the last two games against Yoddhas and Panthers in closely contested encounters. They are at 8th position in points table and a win against the formidable Paltan side will not only take them to top 4 but also gives much confidence going forward.
What to expect
Puneri Paltan are going strong with all-round performances. Both raiders and defenders are overthrowing the opposition. Aslam Inamdar and Mohit Goyat are continuing their supreme form in raiding while Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh leading the defense side quite well.
Bengaluru Bulls raiders Vikas Khandola and Bharat have been the consistent performers. Bulls will rely on these stars to go about with their natural work. The defense unit starring Saurabh Nandal and Surjeet Singh, need to step up in to defeat the ruthless force of Puneri Paltan
