Post COVID-19 era has seen a lot of cricket, where Team India recently thrashed Australia 2-1 in the four-match Test series, England secured a series sweep against Sri Lanka and many more. However, Team India are now ready to take on England for a full-fledged series. Before that, former international cricketer Kevin Pietersen applauded India for its “generosity and kindness” as they sent COVID-19 vaccines to South Africa.
However, he tweeted, “Indian generosity and kindness grows more and more every single day. The beloved country!” His tweet left India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi to respond in a generous way on Wednesday. He wrote that India believes that the world is our family, and it wants to play its role in strengthening the fight against the pandemic as well.
“Glad to see your affection towards India. 🙂 We believe that the world is our family and want to play our role in strengthening the fight against COVID-19,” Modi took to Twitter and shared.

The former England player expressed his emotions on Tuesday after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has shared a picture of an aircraft where it can be seen that it had landed with made-in-India vaccines in South Africa. It is also noteworthy that, Kevin Pietersen was born in South Africa and later moved to England.
However, the former cricketer recently opined about England’s Test squad for the first two Tests against India where he has said that India will beat England in home conditions as well.
“India’s got experience at home, they definitely do. They’ve got Kohli coming back….England has not taken their best team for the first two Test matches. I think Johnny Bairstow has to be there and I don’t think he’s going to be there.
India are definitely favourites. 100% they’re the favourites, because England haven’t taken their best team or they’re certainly not starting with their best team,” he said on Star Sports’ ‘Cricket Connected.’
Then, you have got Ashwin, Bumrah, Kohli, Rahane, Pujara…there are too many super stars for me to sit here and pick one player in particular. I just think that it’s going to be a fantastic series – slow wickets, but two great teams!,” Kevin Pietersen concluded.
