Pawan Munjal, Chairman of Hero Group, talks about the company’s recent success at the Dakar 2024 rally. Hero Motosports registered it’s best performance in the history of Dakar rally and became the first Indian team to secure a podium finish at the prestigious event, after it’s rider Ross Branch finished 2nd in the final standings of Bikes Category.
Pawan Munjal credits Hero Motosports team
During the product launch at the Hero World 2024 event at the Hero Global Centre of Innovation and Technology, popularly known as “CIT”, in Jaipur, Pawan Munjal congratulates the Hero Motosports team for an extraordinary finish at Dakar 2024.
“I’m thrilled to announce our moat outstanding performance to date at the prestigious and very very tough Dakar rally, securing a 2nd place podium finish is a source of immense pride for all of us at Hero, and it should be for the nation. This marks the first ever win by an Indian manufacturer team underscoring a historic achievement”, Munjal said.
Pawan Munjal also praised the team’s rider Ross Branch and the team manager Wolfgang “Waffi” Fischer for procuring the successful outcome. “My heartiest congratulations goes to Ross Branch and my Hero Motosports team rally led by Waffi”, Munjal asked the crowd to stand and applaud the team.
Munjal concluded saying “This recognition underscores the prowess of our products in conquering all roads”.
Hero Motosports aiming for greater glory
With an astonishing finish at Dakar 2024, Hero Motosports is set to compete with the top manufacturing companies across different rallies in the current season. The team’s next target remains the Abu Dhabi Desert challenge, which will commence next month and the rallies leading up later in Sonora rally, Argentina rally and Rally du Maroc.
