Delhi Capitals have qualified into the playoffs after 6 long years. Their batsmen all through the season have not backed down from any challenge and have endorsed a fearless brand of cricket. They will be hoping to make their qualification count by making it to the finals and subsequently winning the trophy for the very first time.

West Indian great Vivia Richards shared his views on the very first knockout match of the playoffs with either the Delhi Capitals or the Sunrisers Hyderabad advancing forward and the other biding goodbye to their dream of winning the trophy.

Richards showered praises for both the side, however, he singled out Delhi’s well-rounded team with a very stable team balance as compared to the Sunrisers. Hyderabad, on the other hand, has not looked dominant with only 12 points on the board. Interestingly they became the first team to qualify for the playoffs in the history of IPL, that sums up their campaign so far.

Richard emphasised on the importance of youngsters such as Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw’s batting for the side. He feels these young batsman firing will be instrumental in the Capitals toppling the Sunrisers.

He adds that these youngsters will not back down from any challenge even though they do not have the experience to play in the playoffs, but he is sure of them putting up a fight and taking their team home.
