Amidst the recent political tensions in India after a cowardly attack on CRPF troops in Pulwama sector of Kashmir killed 42 Indian soldiers, the diplomatic and political climate has been on the rise between the two nuclear power i.e India and Pakistan.

Even the cricketing world has condemned the ghastly attack on our forces. Former Indian cricketer Harbhajhasingh has called for a boycott of Pakistan during the ICC world cup 2019.

However according to Board of Cricket Control in India, BCCI they have said that ICC isn’t in a position to ask cricket boards to sever ties with Pakistan as it is not feasible.

The ICC is in no position to ask any cricket board to sever ties with another member nation. It doesn’t have the right to do so. This is a diplomatic issue which is dealt with at the government level. A member board can always discuss the issue if they want but one can be rest assured that nothing will happen,” said the official.

The BCCI has also asked ICC to provide with security details for the team during the World Cup, to which ICC has said that the security of the team is of utmost importance.
