The 2024 Paris Olympics are set to showcase the prowess of Indian boxers, but the draw has presented both challenges and opportunities. Indian boxers Nikhat Zareen and Lovlina Borgohain have been handed tough draws in their respective weight categories at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Nikhat Zareen, a two-time world champion, faces a tricky path. In the round of 32, she takes on Germany’s Maxi Carina Kloetzer. If she advances, Nikhat could meet China’s Wu Yu, the reigning Asian Games champion, in the round of 16. Wu Yu is also the world champion in the women’s 52kg division. Potential quarter-final opponents include Thailand’s Chuthamat Raksat or Uzbekistan’s Sabina Bobokulova, both formidable opponents.
Toughest possible draw for Nikhat Zareen. She is in the same quarter as Wu Yu🇨🇳,Sabina Bobokulova🇺🇿 and Chuthamat Raksat🇹🇭.#Paris2024 #Boxing pic.twitter.com/uSYrM23pTP

Preeti Pawar (Women’s 54kg): Preeti takes on Vietnam’s Vo Thi Kim Anh in the round of 32.
Nishant Dev (Men’s 71kg): Like Amit, Nishant also gets a bye. He faces Ecuador’s Jose Rodriguez Tenorio in his first bout.
