Ole’s at the crease: Manchester United manager tries his hand with cricket during pre season tour

Manchester United, who contested their initial two fixtures of their pre-season tour in the WACA Stadium in Perth, tried their luck with cricket. The city of Perth is rich with cricketing tradition and with England winning the World Cup, the squad gave it a shot.

Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer currently has a wheel on his hands, but he switched it for a bat to give it a go before their departure to Singapore for the next phase of their pre-season campaign.

The lush green outfield of the historic WACA witnessed a temporary change as the Red Devils opted to play cricket. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was seen swinging the bat as he swatted a full toss over to Michael Carrick who responded with a stunning one-handed grab. Watch the video below:

Manchester United have had an eventful start to their season with convincing victories over Perth Glory and Leeds United.

The club still awaits the signings of a few more players before the transfer window shuts down. The Red Devils are scheduled to face Chelsea on the opening day of the campaign at Old Trafford.
