Ex-Barcelona and Brazil superstar, and one of the greatest of all time to ever grace the game, Ronaldinho, is on his way to make an astonishing return to football!
The 2002 World Cup winner enjoyed a sublime career across elite clubs such as Paris Saint Germain, AC Milan and of course the Blaugranas, where his five-year long spell from 2003-2008 earned him two La Liga and one UEFA Champions League trophy.
He finally hung up his boots at the Asian Premier Futsal Championship side Delhi Dragons in January 2018.
However, one and a half years later, the 39-year old attacking midfielder is reported to return to the field again.
Birkirkara FC, a club that plays in the not so famous Maltese Premier League, is making an attempt to bring the 2005 Ballon d’Or winner out of retirement, according to reports from Times of Malta.

Michael Valenzia, the Technical Director of the Maltese club, has hinted at an ongoing potential deal.
In an interview with Times of Malta, Valenzia stated, “I can confirm that there exists the possibility that Birkirkara FC could sign Ronaldinho.”
“There is nothing yet concluded but talks are ongoing and one has to be patient and see how things evolve.”
“At the moment we are in talks with foreign investors who are ready to act as sponsors to our club and during negotiations it came out that some of the persons involved have a connection with Ronaldinho’s entourage.” he later added.
Although it is true that Ronaldinho is not in his prime anymore- but to see the Samba Magician tear up the defenses of some Maltese clubs will surely be an eye candy.
