No ‘magic’ recovery schedule, Messi out for 3 weeks

Lionel Messi will be out of action for the next three weeks as there is no magic recovery for the Argentine superstar. The star footballer of Barcelona has to be taken out of the field with a fractured arm in the previous match of Barcelona against Sevilla in La Liga. Barcelona will have to face Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday and then the Catalan Giants will have to play against Real Madrid in the El Clasico on Sunday.

The manager of Barcelona has stated that the players have to share the responsibilities with the absence of Lionel Messi in these two matches. Valverde told,

“We have to find a way to play without him,” Valverde told reporters. “We will certainly miss him, but we hope we miss him while winning.

“You guys [the media] aren’t the only ones trying to find out how we will try to replace Leo. The coaches from the other teams are as well and I’m not going to give away what we are going to do.

“We can’t have all the weight of Leo Messi on one player, we must do it all together. Messi is one of a kind but I think we have the players to step up and fill the vacuum.

“He’s the best player, what do you want me to say? We depend on him, like we depend on others, but he is the best.

“The doctors say about three weeks and sometimes people talk about getting back sooner. I’d love to say it will be magic and next week he’ll be back but I don’t think that is the case.”

Ousmane Dembele and Malcolm are two the players who can potentially replace Lionel Messi in that position for Barcelona. But Lionel Messi is like the heart of the Barcelona team. Without him, the team will surely struggle to find goal scoring opportunities. The players like Philippe Coutinho and Luis Suarez must have to step up to share the workload usually taken by Lionel Messi.
