Neha’s Bronze Triumph
Neha, competing in the women’s 57 kg freestyle category, added to India’s medal tally with a hard-fought bronze. Fresh from her gold medal win at the U17 World Championships last month, Neha entered the U20 Championships with confidence.
In the bronze medal bout, Neha faced Gerda Terek of Hungary. The match was a thrilling contest, with Neha emerging victorious with a 10-8 scoreline. Her ability to maintain composure under pressure and execute her moves with precision was key to her success.
India’s Overall Performance
India’s performance at the U20 Wrestling World Championships was commendable, with the team finishing second overall. The medal tally included one gold, one silver, and three bronze medals. Jyoti Berwal’s gold in the women’s 76 kg category was another highlight of the tournament for India.
