New Zealand police did not hold back and took a dig at their national side after their underwhelming performances vs India.

The Indian team is in top form after beating New Zealand in the first two ODIs in the 5 match series at their own backyard. The visitors first clinched a 8 wicket win following which they registered a 90 run emphatic victory.

While the hosts are having a difficult time on the field, the Eastern District Police added further fuel to their problems after their Facebook post hilariously took a dig at their recent performances.

In the warning note they wrote, “Police would like to issue a warning to members of the public about the exploits of a group touring the country at the moment. Witnesses report seeing this group badly assault an innocent looking bunch of New Zealanders in both Napier and Mt Maunganui in the last week. Extra care should be taken if you are carrying anything that looks like a cricket bat or ball.”

After beating Sri Lanka comprehensively in early January, the hosts were expected put up a competitive show on display. But in Napier, the hosts were bowled out for 157 runs while at Bay Oval they could only manage to put 234 runs on board.

They will need to turn the tides in their favor when the 3rd ODI takes place on Monday if they are to stand a chance to get back into the series.
