Suresh Raina feels that he can bat at the No.4 position for India in the shortest format in the game. Indian skipper Virat Kohli is on the course to organize the pool of available players and find the right balance.

The flamboyant left-hander has gone down the pecking order due to inconsistency and injuries. Raina, who last played for India in July 2018, is currently out due to a knee injury and is expected to return by November.

In an interview with Sportstar, Raina claimed that he can be a potential candidate for the crucial No.4 spot having already delivered for the country in that position. He added that he looks forward to the upcoming two editions of the T20 World Cup as a potential opportunity for the same. He said:

“Basically my left knee was cleaned up. I expect to be back playing in November,” I can be the No. 4 for India. I have batted in that slot before and delivered. I am looking forward to an opportunity with two T20 World Cups coming up.”
