Let us take a look at the three games played out today in the NBA.
Detroit continued their winning start to the season, beating Philadelphia 76ers 133-132 in a game which went to overtime. Blake Griffin was the main man for the Pistons, as he scored a career-high 50 points which included the game-winning points.
J. J. Redick had put the Sixers in front with a four-point play, but Griffin followed it up with an and-one bucket to clinch the win and prompt ‘MVP’ chants from the Detroit fans. Redick scored 30, and Joel Embiid poured in 33, but Philly came up short in the end.

The New Orleans Pelicans also won their third straight game, as Anthony Davis’ 34 points helped them put away the Clippers 116-109. Davis kept up his early season form, and the Pelicans are looking like a mean outfit this season.
Tobias Harris scored 26 and Danilo Gallinari scored 24 for the Clippers, who are 2-2 after four games.
The Denver Nuggets improved to 4-0 after beating the Sacramento Kings 126-112. Eight players were in double figures for the Nuggets, as no one scored more than 20 for them. Marvin Bagley III scored 20 for the Kings, who dropped to 1-3 and could not build on their recent win over the Thunder.
