Giannis Antetokounmpo had 31 points and 15 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks claimed a 116-106 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Luka Doncic recorded a triple-double for the Mavs, but it was in vain.
The Wizards showed some spirit and defeated the Pistons 101-87 courtesy of a team effort. Detroit managed just 34 points in the first half, which proved to be their downfall. Meanwhile, Evan Fournier and Nikola Vucevic scored 29 points apiece as the Magic won 122-103 in Atlanta.
The Nets defeated the Kings on the back of D’Angelo Russell’s 31 points, and Kyrie Irving’s 26 points and 10 assists carried the Celtics past the Heat. The New Orleans Pelicans were without Anthony Davis for the trip to Memphis, but it was no problem. They defeated the Grizzlies 105-85 courtesy of a strong defensive performance.
James Harden failed to propel the Rockets to the win, as they fell 121-93 to the 76ers. Joel Embiid was the star man, with 32 points and 14 rebounds. Donovan Mitchell’s 36 points were in vain as the Blazers defeated the Jazz 109-104.
