Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav recently celebrated his eighth wedding anniversary with a touching tribute to his wife, Devisha Shetty. In an Instagram post that has captured hearts, Suryakumar humorously reflected on their journey together.
Suryakumar Yadav’s greatest catch in his life
Suryakumar playfully recalled his sensational catch during the T20 World Cup final against South Africa in Barbados. However, he clarified that this catch was not the most significant one of his life. Instead, Suryakumar declared that his most important catch happened eight years ago—the day he married Devisha. With infinite years ahead, their love story continues to unfold.
The couple celebrated their special day with a private ceremony. Suryakumar, sporting a yellow printed shirt, cut a cake with Devisha, who looked radiant in red. Devisha has been Suryakumar’s unwavering support throughout his cricketing journey. She accompanied him to the T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies.

Suryakumar’s catch of David Miller in the T20 World Cup final has been regarded as one of the greatest in World Cup history. Suryakumar held his calm and composure taking a sensational catch at long-off when Miller hit the first delivery of Hardik Pandya’s final over toward the long-off boundary. Initially, the ball looked like it was flying over the rope, but Suryakumar timed his run toward the boundary rope to perfection and juggled the ball before completing the catch.
