Mumbai City FC has made a significant addition to its squad by signing 24-year-old defender Sahil Panwar on a free transfer. The one-year contract will keep him with the club until the end of the 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) season.

Hailing from Dehradun, Sahil began his professional journey with the Pune FC academy. His impressive performances in the Subroto Cup earned him a spot in the team, where he also captained the U-18 side.
Sahil made his ISL debut in January 2018 with FC Pune City. Later, he played for Hyderabad FC and Odisha FC, establishing himself as a reliable left-sided defender.
Over his ISL career spanning 70 appearances, Sahil has demonstrated his defensive prowess. He boasts 88 interceptions, 230 duels won, 83 aerial duels won, and 270 recoveries.
Sahil has represented India at the U-20 level and captained the team during the 2017 SAFF U-18 Championship.
Sahil’s addition bolsters Mumbai City’s defense, providing valuable depth and options across the backline. His experience and abilities will be crucial as the team aims for success in the upcoming season. Head Coach Petr Kratky expressed confidence in Sahil’s qualities, emphasizing his consistency as a defender.
