Former India captain MS Dhoni’s time off from the sport has been puzzling with only limited updates available owing to the faint social media presence. But thanks to Dhoni’s wife Sakshi, the fans are able to see more of their beloved Mahi off the field and their social media banter has cranked up a notch with a subtle dig.

After teasing Dhoni relentlessly in her previous video by calling him “Sweetie of the day” and “Cutie of the day”. As the wicket-keeper batsman stayed away despite the calls, Sakshi moved closer and kept teasing by saying “Why is my sweetie not looking at me? At least look at me”.

In a post uploaded by a Twitter user, the 2011 World Cup skipper brought the heat with a scathing comeback where he says that Sakshi makes these videos to increase her followers using Dhoni’s influence. His exact words being:

“Apne followers badhane ke liye Instagram par (You do it to gain Instagram followers),”

The comment brought up raucous laughter across the room except for Sakshi of course, who went on to reply  “I am part of you baby,” while also adding that all of her followers pretty much follow her to keep a tab on Dhoni and constantly ask her questions such as “Where is Dhoni” and “Where is Thala”.

Check out the interesting video below:

MS Dhoni last played in the colours during the infamous World Cup semi-final against New Zealand last year. Since then, the former captain has strayed far from the cricketing action having served the paratrooper regiment which proceeded with him declaring himself unavailable for the limited-overs series against South Africa and Bangladesh.

While the questions surrounding his retirement simmered by the conclusion of last year, Dhoni requested to hold off the questions till January. Dhoni has proceeded to admit that the semi-final defeat still haunts him and he regrets and asks himself why he didn’t dive in order to make it to the crease.
