Liverpool stayed at the top of the League Table with a win over Wolves in the Premier League. On the other hand, Wolves stayed at the seventh position with 25 points in 18 matches so far. Liverpool are now four points ahead of Manchester City in the League Table. However, Manchester City have one match in their hands to reduce the gap to one point.
Liverpool started the match off in style as Mohamed Salah scored the first goal of the match at the 18th minute. The central defensive midfielder of the Reds, Fabinho created this goal scoring opportunity for the star Egyptian footballer. Mohamed Salah made no mistake to put it into the Goal.
Wolves tried to make a comeback in this match. Doherty and Jimenez were in great form in the previous matches. However, in this encounter they were not able to get a goal. Liverpool’s defensive unit remained solid through out the whole 90 minutes.
Virgil Van Dijk doubled the lead for the Reds at the 68th minute of the match. This goal sealed the win for the Reds in this match. The efforts of the Wolves attackers were not enough to get past Alisson who was rock solid under the bars for Liverpool.
