Indian athlete Muhammad Anas finished first in the men’s 400m race while Hima Das too grabbed the first position in the women’s 400m race at the Mlada Boleslav athletics meet on Saturday.
In the men’s 400m race, Anas clocked 45.57 seconds to finished first. He was closely followed by another fellow countrymen Noah Nirmal Tom, who managed to finish second with a timing of 45.75 seconds. The third place was too grabbed by an Indian as Amoj Jacob finished at 46.54 seconds.
With the top three positions secured by the Indians alone, it was total domination. Ayyasamy Dharun, making a comeback from an injury finished sixth with a timing of 47.34 seconds.
In the same event for the women’s category, the Indians once again showed full domination as the first six positions were filled by them itself. Hima Das claimed the gold finishing at 53.07 seconds while VK Vismaya finished behind her 53.11 seconds.
MR Poovamma finished third while V. Subha, V.K. Salini and R. Vithya followed her at the fourth, fifth and sixth positions respectively.
