Vaughan had earlier made a critical statement on the test matches wickets being prepared in India, stating that they offered no contest and were boring.

“Test Match Cricket pitches in India are boring … The first 3/4 days the contest is far too in favour of the Bat … needs more action for the bowler … My thought of the day … ,” Vaughan had earlier tweeted during the one sided India vs South Africa test match at Pune.

But the pitch at Indore on Thursday wasn’t a typical subcontinent wicket at all. It had a green cover to it and in fact seemed to assist the pacers rather than the spinners. This saw the Indian fast bowlers profit with 7 wickets as they bundled out the opposition for just 150.

Giving credit where its due, Michael Vaughan immediately took to twitter to praise the wicket that was laid for the match.

“This Test Match pitch in India is a belter …. ,” Vaughan tweeted.
