Playing their first competitive fixture since their exit from the World Cup, Team India were put to test by West Indies in Florida.

Winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Virat Kohli named Navdeep Saini as the lone debutant. The Men In Blue opted to play three spinners on a damp surface.

Opening the attack with the new ball, Washington Sundar was quick to strike. The powerplay specialist dismissed Campbell for a duck and the Windies could never recover from that.

Wickets kept tumbling from both ends as the two-time World T20 Champions lost five wickets inside the powerplay itself. The experienced Kieron Pollard stayed put until the end of the innings with 49 to his name.

Navdeep Saini had a dream debut as he ended with the figures of 4-0-17-3. The speedster was well supported by the other bowlers as they restricted the opposition to just 95.

Chasing a paltry total, India were off to a shaky start with the returning Dhawan dismissed for just 1. The rest of the innings comprised with bits and pieces innings by the Indian batting order as Rohit Sharma top-scored with 25. Rishabh Pant was dismissed for a duck as the all-rounder pair of Krunal Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja saw India through with more than 2 overs to spare.
