Mesut Ozil’s future is not looking very much certain at the Emirates. The Gunners renewed the contract of Mesut Ozil in this year with a weekly wage of £300,000. However, it is seeming that Mesut Ozil is nowhere in the plan of Unai Emery.
Mesut Ozil was not in the match day squad of the Gunners against Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter final of Carabao Cup on Wednesday. Previously, also Mesut Ozil was dropped from the squad of the Gunners. When, Unai Emery was asked about the injury status of Mesut Ozil, he told that it was a tactical decision.
Mesut Ozil was fit to start in this match; but Unai Emery did not include him in the matchday squad. According to the sources in the training Ground of Arsenal, Mesut Ozil was the only player in the squad who was not seen in the plan of Unai Emery.
The relationship between Unai Emery and Mesut Ozil is worsening day by day. In the winter transfer window, the club management could think to offload Mesut Ozil. However, there might not be many suitors for Mesut Ozil in the transfer window as the player has an excessively high weekly wages in his contract. So, the situation might be really complicated for the Gunners in this January transfer window.
