Lionel Messi has been included in the squad of Barcelona for the upcoming match against Inter Milan in the Group Stage of the Champions League. Barcelona are currently situated at the top of the table in their Group in the Champions League while Inter are at the second position. Both the sides will be eager to win the match at San Siro.
Lionel Messi has picked up an injury against Sevilla in La Liga. The Argentine superstar missed four matches to recover from that injury. Now, he has been added in the squad of the Catalan Giants against Inter Milan. However in an interview, the former Barcelona president Joan Gaspart has mentioned that the manager should not take a risk to play Lionel Messi against Inter Milan in the away match. He told,
“Messi should decide that on his own, with the medical staff, I would not risk an out-of-this-world player like him.
“Valverde has been very sensible saying that we need him but we are not going to risk a repeat of the injury.
“Messi takes care of himself, he exercises and that is good because when his arm is cured he will be available and in perfect shape right from the off.”
Inter Milan will be ready to take a revenge to their 2-0 defeat against Barcelona in the Group Stage. Inter are at the second position in the Serie A and they will try to snatch at least one point from this encounter to be in a good position to qualify to the next round of the Champions League from this Group.
