Manchester United are now surely going to the Europa League next season after the 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town at John Smith’s Stadium on Sunday. Huddersfield Town’s relegation has been confirmed weeks ago and now they are playing for their pride.
Romelu Lukaku was not there in the squad of Manchester United on Sunday. It was Alexis Sanchez, Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford were there at the upfront of the field for the Red Devils. However, after that, the Red Devils failed to score the insurance goal despite having so many efforts on the target.
The first half ended with a scoreline of 1-0 in favour of the Red Devils. However, in the second half of the match, Alexis Sanchez was taken out of the field with an injury and Tahith Chong came in his place. Huddersfield Town scored the equaliser at the 60th minute of the match when Luke Shaw was not able to clear a simple ball provided by Lossl from the back. Mbenza followed it and nutmegged David De Gea to end the hope of the Red Devils to play in the Champions League next season.
