Manchester United’s centre back Chris Smalling extended his contract with Manchester United till the end of the 2021-22 season with an option to extend for another year. Chris Smalling has been a part of this Manchester United squad for last few seasons and it is surely going to be a good news for the fans.
Jose Mourinho is constantly putting pressure on the club management of Manchester United to sign a new centre back in the next transfer window. However, the club management have still not sanctioned enough money to buy a World class centre back in this January.
Toby Alderweireld was on the verge of joining Manchester United in this summer transfer window. However, the deal did not finalize as the transfer fee was not agreed between the two clubs.
