Manchester City were able to retain the Carabao Cup after a dramatic win against Chelsea at Wembley. It was an absorbing contest through out the whole 90 minutes and the 30 minutes extra time. The players of Manchester City kept their calm head to win this match in the tie breaker.
The game was heated up for an awful incident. Kepa Arrizabalaga was slightly injured at the dying moments of the second half of the extra time. The manager of Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri wanted to bring in Willy Caballero at that moment. However, Keeps Arrizabalaga denied to be subbed off at that time. In the post match conference, Maurzio Sarri told that it was a miscommunication between the player and the coaching stuffs at that point of time.
Chelsea played really well in this match and they kept the clean sheet in this match after conceding 6 goals against Manchester City one week back in the Premier League. However, the luck did not favour them in the tie breaker. Jorginho and David Luiz missed the opportunity to convert in the shoot out while Leroy Sane’s shot was saved by Kepa Arrizabalaga. At the end, Manchester City won the Carabao Cup Final with a margin of 4-3 in the tie breaker.
