Khabib Nurmagomedov is a professional fighter who is currently a part of the UFC. Khabib is often regarded as one of the greatest ever fighters to have ever step foot into the Octagon.

Recently like the whole world, even Khabib was struck by this coronavirus pandemic, Khabib lost his father due to the virus and has since then spent time with his family.

Khabib was really close to his father and his father had been his coach and mentor all throughout his career, after the death of his father many fans expected Khabib would retire or at least would take a long time to return to action.

UFC President Dana White also claimed that he knows how close Khabib and his father were and when Khabib wants to return is on him and he has the full support of the UFC.

Recently Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz was interviewed about the return of his client; Abdelaziz said that all the rumors about Khabib retiring are false and that his client will return to action in 2020 itself, he also said that Khabib would at least fight 2 more times.

Khabib’s present record holds at 28-0 and the light-heavyweight champion would most likely hang up his boots after he is 30-0. Khabib has always been vocal about his retirement plans, He told in an interview that he wanted to retire when he is around 33-34 years of age.

Khabibs wish to retire after 30-0 seems to be a direct result of his father’s wish, Abdelaziz said that Khabibs father wanted him to reach the 30-0 mark before retiring and it seems that Khabib would for sure want to fulfill his father’s wishes.

Back in September 2019, Abdulmanap said that “ For Khabib, 30-0 is enough.” He also wanted Khabib’s last title defense to be in Moscow. Khabib Nurmagomedov’s next fight will be with Justin Gaethje, most probably the fight will take place in Fight Island at UFC 253 as the UFC 252 event would probably be headlined by the third bout between Steve Miocic and Daniel Cormier UFC 252.

Khabib is one of the greatest ever fighters and he has been missed by his fans, After Khabib is ready and wants to step back in the Octagon, his fans would be thoroughly overjoyed and if he reaches the 30-0 mark it would be a great achievement and would also mean that Khabib fulfilled his fathers wish of seeing his son be 30-0.

Whatever the case maybe we as fans are excited to see the great Khabib Nurmagomedov return to action.
