Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku is pushing a transfer to Serie A giants Inter Milan this transfer window, and has reportedly requested Solskjær to lower his price to aid the move.
Following a failed bid of £54 million last week, Antonio Conte had spurned out of his pursuit to land the Belgian forward to San Siro.
However, the player already set his heart on a transfer away from Old Trafford, and has begged the Red Devils hierarchy to cut down on the £80 million valuation.
The 26-year old has also faced slack from United fans, after posting a photo on Instagram with agent Federico Pastorello, along with the caption “Soon to be continued”, hinting a move away from the Theater of Dreams.
Meanwhile, the Devils’ gaffer has given Lukaku only four days of time to decide the next step of his career- be it England or Italy.
The Netherlands international, who was reported to have agreed on personal terms with Conte’s side, was not included in United’s pre season friendlies, as confirmed by Solskjaer earlies this month.
“No, he’s not fit, so he won’t be available,” the 46-year old Norwegian said.
Meanwhile, Serie A champions Juventus are also in line to get Lukaku in a swap with Paolo Dybala, if the deal with the Nerazzuri ultimately doesn’t follow through.
