Premier League table leaders Liverpool FC are currently under the radar of the English Football League, after the allegation of putting an ineligible player on the field in their Carabao Cup match against MK Dons on Thursday, and may face disqualification from the competition!

The player, Pedro Chirivella, is a product of the club’s youth system, and was on a loan spell away at La Liga 2 side Extremadura UD last season. It is reported that Chirivella, 22, required a clearance from the Football Association themselves before appearing on field for the Reds.
However, the Spanish youngster was substituted in the 63rd minute, replacing Naby Keita, as the UEFA Champions League winners secured a smooth 2-0 victory.
Although, the Reds are now under scrutiny by the FA, and their decision might see the club from paying a fine to Klopp and his boys entirely disqualified from the Carabao Cup tournament.
“We are currently considering the matter,” one spokesperson from the EFL was quoted saying.
The club has officially released a statement regarding the situation.
The statement read: “The club are aware of a potential administrative issue pertaining to one of our players. We are working with the relevant authorities in order to establish the facts of the matter and will be making no further comment until this process is complete.”
Anfield veteran James Milner opened up the scoreline in the 41st minute, and the Dutch youngster Ki-Jana Hoever netted in a second one in the 69th minute.
